How To Get A Flatter Stomach Naturally
Whether you are a man or a woman, having a flat belly is a sign of beauty. If you can also have a few defined abs in there, then all the better, but the key is to not have any flab or bulge. Those who have a bit of a belly understand how horrible it is to get dressed every morning and to have to stay out of anything that is in a hipster model, as it creates the dreaded muffin top. If you do have a bit of a bulge where there should be none, you will be happy to know that there are things that you can do about it. Let’s take a look.
Walk With a Friend
Walking is good for us. Everybody knows this and most of us actually walk around with pedometers or have one installed as an app on our smartphones. However, what many of us don’t realize is how much better it is for our belly to walk with a friend.
“Instead of catching up with friends over food and drinks, suggest a reunion on the move—you’re likely to work out 104% harder if you have an exercise buddy.” – Prevention
Perhaps there is someone you could walk with during your lunch break, or maybe it is something that you could do on a weekly basis with friends, for instance. There are also numerous walking clubs that are very welcoming and friendly. You will find a lot of support here that can help on any further weight loss attempts as well.
Pike and Extend Exercises
If you are committed to getting a flat belly and understand that it will take a lifestyle change that includes a good workout regime. Your first workout should be the pike and extend move.
“Lie faceup on mat with legs extended over hips, arms overhead. Crunch up, reaching hands toward feet.” – Fitness Magazine
You should then start to move your arms backwards and your legs forwards, towards the floor. However, keep your core muscles engaged at all times so you don’t injure your lower back. To make sure that your core is engaged, simply ensure that your lower back is in contact with the floor at all times. Hence, when you first start, you may only be able to move your legs a little bit, but you will get closer and closer to the floor as you progress. Then simply curl your knees in to your chest, hug them with your arms and start again.
Munch Often
Fat has a nasty habit of concentrating itself on our stomachs, which is why it is this particular area that we often want to improve. In order to do this, you need to think about your diet as well. To target your stomach, the best thing to do is eat small meals often, rather than large meals three times a day. Aim to eat five meals a day to spread things out. Workout what your daily calorie intake should be in order to get to the weight you want to achieve and simply divide that by five to see how much you can eat for each meal.
